Pet Anesthesia
Some veterinary procedures need to be performed while your pet is under anesthesia so that they will not feel pain and will remain still.
Pet Anesthesia
The experienced care team at Mauldin Station Vet is trained to carefully select, dose, and administer medications and to monitor your pet while they are here. To ensure the best outcome possible, our qualified staff and veterinarians monitor your pet before, during, and after anesthesia.
You can be confident that safety, effectiveness, and comfort are always put first when you entrust our devoted medical staff with managing your pet’s anesthetic care. Please talk with us if you have any concerns. We want to make sure that you are part of the team that cares for your pet.
We advise that your pet does not eat the night before anesthesia, beginning at midnight, for cats and dogs older than 12 weeks. Your pet may drink water up to the admission time for the surgery. For good hygiene and reduced chances of infection, we recommend that your pet be bathed the day before surgery.
